Voters go to the polls Saturday to elect school trustees to serve on boards in most of the area's school districts while other boards have declared winners and cancelled elections due to a lack of competition for unpaid positions.
Voters have their opportunity beginning today to weigh in to three liquor issues, contested school trustee elections at North Lamar and Chisum as well as a hot city council race in Reno as early voting begins at the Lamar County Annex, 231 Lamar Avenue at school administration offices and at Reno City Hall.
Due to the lack of feedback about the Paris liquor referendum on May 9, it's becoming more apparent that residents have mellowed regarding the issue, whatever their point of view.
