Investigators believe a 19-year-old Longmont man who veered his car into oncoming traffic Monday, directly hitting one vehicle and glancing off another south of Loveland, fell asleep at the wheel.

Two cars collided head-on and a third vehicle was also struck Monday afternoon when a sedan swerved into oncoming traffic on U.S. 287 at Colorado 60 near Campion.

A multiple-car accident Monday along U.S. Highway 287, south of Loveland near Campion, slowed traffic and sent at least three people to the hospital.
