A 21-year-old Donaldson, Ark., man pleaded guilty today in federal court in Hot Springs to burning a cross in a Donaldson woman's yard because she associated with black people.

Dustin I. Nix, 21, of Donaldson, Ark., pleaded guilty today in federal court in Hot Springs, Ark., to two federal civil rights charges for his role in a conspiracy to force a woman and her young children from their home in Donaldson because she associated with African Americans.

A 21-year-old Donaldson man indicted on suspicion of burning a cross in a woman's yard in June 2008 because they suspected she associated with black men plans to plead guilty.

A federal grand jury in Fort Smith has indicted five men from the Donaldson area on federal civil rights charges as well as charges of making false statements to the Federal Bureau of Investigation .
