Traversie was born Sept. 20, 1912, in Egavik, Alaska. She is survived by her sister, Anna Etageak; brother, Daniel Savetilik; and many nieces and nephews.

Koutchak died June 4, 2000 at Alaska Native Medical Center. Ms. Koutchak was born in Egavik, Alaska on April 3, 1916. She is survived by her sons Fred, Richard and Jordan Koutchak
